What is education?

      Is schooling for children only education or is it more? What do children learn at home, learn from friends, learn from their experience?

       When an infant is born, it has only the knowledge of nature, the knowledge that every creature of nature possesses. What sets him apart from the rest of the creatures is his ability to learn. Because of this ability, he learns something new every day since he is born. The first stage of this learning is physical knowledge. Under this, he is aware of his body and its needs like defecation, hunger, thirst, pain, sleep etc. In the second stage he understands emotional needs such as affection, relationship, touch, etc. The third stage knows the social needs and the fourth stage is the interview itself. From childhood to death, everything a person learns in these four stages is education. Be it Chanakya or Plato or Aristotle, almost all the thinkers gave great importance to the field of education and also tried to improve it.

        Its English practice is "Education", which is made up of educatum in the language of Latin.

E (E) means "from the inside" and "DUCO" means "to pull out", so education literally means the manifestation of a person's inherent powers. In this way, education means the systematic development of character, mental, physical and other inherent powers.

Rousseau considered education to be a thoughtful, balanced, useful and natural process of development of life.

        Kamenius has termed all human development as education.

       According to John Dewey, education is the development of a person's abilities through which he controls his environment and can fulfill the possibilities.

       According to T. Remont, education is the process of development of human life that continues from infancy to adulthood.

The other two words again emerged from education itself, teacher and learner. Teaching teacher and learner. Due to the importance of education in human life, teacher's place also became very important. Just as human civilization began in India, similarly the thinking on education also started in India. The concept of  Gurukula (Master's house. / Acquiring knowledge by staying close to the Master.) was its first phase. The field of education was extensive in the Adi (Ever since humans started learning.) period, but its authority was limited. It was not available to everyone in its developed form. The selected castes and clans were its officers. But as the field of education was wide, the disciple was taught to cook, sing, dance, scripture, Vedas, Niti (Law), weapons and wood cutting in addition to weapons, even if he was a prince. The parents handed over their children to the Guru and they left their home only after the education was over. During their stay in the Gurukul, the students did not have any contact with the family under any circumstances and they were completely under the patronage of the Guru. For this reason, he was completely devoted to the Guru and at that time the reverence of the Guru was the same as that of God. The Guru also tried his best to become the recipient of this honor in his conduct. The disciple's interest was paramount for him.

Today, the teacher has replaced the teacher, it would not be completely correct to say, but there is no other option. Today the concept of education has changed and that is why the position and importance of the teacher has also decreased. Today education is not a life, but a part of life, the organ that manages to earn a living. Everything changed with the meaning of education. Now that education is useful, which fulfills the economic needs. If the disciple is governed by the meaning then how can the teacher be deprived of it. So the meaning of education for everyone remained only meaning. Its original meaning was lost somewhere. But this change was only in use, hence continued efforts for the betterment of education. In which the entire curriculum was designed keeping in mind the overall development of the child. The teacher's role in it again became important. Now he is no longer a pass-checking employee by simply checking the copy. Once again, he was given the responsibility to understand and refine the entire personality of the child. Not all teachers find themselves fit in this role, so they are worried about increasing workload, but to improve their social status they have to prepare themselves for this role.

          In a way, CCE seems to be a part of the concept of Indian Gurukul. If there is a difference, it is only about the devotion to the teacher or teacher. This dedication is neither in the learners nor their parents. Only these two cannot be blamed for this. The dedication of others to us is our capital and it is the teacher's responsibility to earn this capital. The educational institutions that have tried this leave their children to their people. This is why so many day boarding schools and hostels are running.

         This mutual trust has to be strengthened further. The responsibility of increasing this trust is not so much that of the institution as it is because in the end the teacher is the link which is directly connected to the children. In such a situation, it is best to decide one's own responsibility. This responsibility involves not only the implementation of plans, but also its personal conduct. By making his conduct ideal, he can expect ideal behavior from students. A teacher who lies on leave cannot expect truth from students. Only by taking the purpose of education into his life, a teacher will achieve that objective and then this relationship of teacher-student will truly achieve its ideal position. The ideal situation that led to the introduction of education, which was based on the guru-disciple relationship. Education derived from the ideal teacher-student relationship also forms the basis of the rest of education.
